A courtyard house in Los Angeles, built with Woods + Dangaran. From the street, a plaster wall and slim cedar louvers screen the upper floor; a louvered gate opens onto a quiet courtyard planted with a single gingko.
Inside, a California modernist palette of pale oak, plaster and stone meets walls of glass that slide open to the garden and pool. The detailing is resolved down to the parts you never quite notice, the quality that drew Architectural Digest to step inside.
